Ackuna’s New Translation Contest: Linguistic Frostbite Translation Contest

How does the contest work?

As the holiday season begins, and the new year draws closer, Ackuna kicks off our seventh and coolest translation contest yet! Their "Linguistic Frostbite" Translation Contest runs until midnight on January 31st and is sponsored by Maxprograms, White Rabbit, and Multilingual. Thanks to these great companies, we will be awarding our most die-hard users with some chill prizes!

Last Few Days ! Hurry Up...

You will be translating multiple current and popular apps into your native language. You earn points through various methods throughout the contest. The list below shows you how you can earn points, and the value assigned to each method.

* Correct translations are determined by receiving the appropriate number of upvotes by other users, and therefore ‘accepted’ by the system, or manually being accepted by the project developer. If one translation is marked accepted, others that are not are considered ‘incorrect’.

Voting up a correct* translation	5 points	Voting up an incorrect translation	-5 points
Voting down an incorrect translation	5 points	Voting down a correct translation	-5 points
Your submitted translation gets accepted	12 points
Active member on a blog site or own a website? Mention Ackuna and linkback to our site in a post (you must provide the link to us in anemail, points added to your final score at the end)	10 points (maximum of 50 points can be achieved this way)

This contest is separated into two parts: The first part is for the developers to submit their apps for consideration, and the second part is for the translators. The first part of the contest will begin on December 31, 2015! The second part will begin December 11, 2015.

Developers:

• $100 credit to use on the Ackuna platform (promote your project, send out email blasts, hire individual translators, etc.. all with Ackuna credits).
• $100 reimbursement on the Translation Cloud API.
• One year of Multilingual Magazine delivered to your door.
• Best of all, your app will be used for the translator portion of the contest (which means a ton of promotion!).
